I was born drawing it seems. It’s the one skill that I have always counted on to express my thoughts and feelings or just crazy dreams. I sometimes feel like I’ll burst if I don’t create something.
My “style” started in 1996 as a doodle. I was living in New Orleans, just out of college at doing these filled the empty hours. I began creating gifts for friends and family and the next thing I knew people were ordering them!
I learn so much about people from their loved ones when they begin sending photos and small stories about their lives. I then capture those memories with trusty pens and pencils. The process is very much enjoyable. Like I’m getting a sneak peek behind the curtains of a life.
My pieces aren’t large so if you’re looking for something to go over your fireplace then I’m probably the wrong person. They are meant to capture life’s special memories and fill the smaller spaces in your home. I promise that each one oozes with emotion and story.
