The Baking Dead
What do you get a super cool athlete woman that is fulfilling her dream to own a bakery? You’re right! A custom piece of art! Inspired by the colorful and edgy Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) art, this piece is centered around baking. A stylish skull with rolling pin and spatula crossbones shows off her whole wheat cookies, muffins and brownies that float all around.

Beet Butt
I love beets. I saw one that looked like this in the store and thought I’d pay homage. Maybe it will bring me gifts of homemade pickled beets this year!

Butterfly
There’s not really much I can explain about this. The idea woke me up last night and it had to come out. So fly butter, fly!

Breakfast
Nothing starts a day better! And yes, those are grits. GRITS stands for “Girls Raised In The South” for those of you who didn’t know. I was born and raised in Louisiana so I’m allowed to love them. With salt and butter. And sometimes cheese when I’m feelin’ frisky.
Tai Chi Chai Tea
My neighbor Joe presented me with a list of amazing titles that offered up many wonderful visuals. This is the first in the series. It’s taken me a couple years to actually get it down on paper but the vision is complete. Now time for some tea.
