Flashdance Flight

This is epic y’all! The first Kirby Ink with…GLITTER.

I was inspired by The Bloggess, who just got her very own pony Pegasus (you’ll have to read to understand), so I made this for her as a, I guess you can call it, a welcome pony Pegasus party gift. But when I first saw it, I not only saw the sweet pony with wings, I saw the sweet pony with wings and leg warmers. Which led to the Flashdance theme. This is not your average My Little Pony folks. The glittery sweatshirt, leg warmers and headband just scream sassy! Whether this pony Pegasus is a boy or a girl I am not sure, but does it matter? It’s pure flair in the air.

SOLD

Hali

This one was sent up to Alaska especially for my niece Hali!

SOLD

Beet Butt

I love beets. I saw one that looked like this in the store and thought I’d pay homage. Maybe it will bring me gifts of homemade pickled beets this year!

Lovebirds

I’m excited to share this wedding gift for my sweet niece! The main goal was to create something as bright and beautiful as she is, and the bright future ahead of them. The two birds are in their wedding attire sharing a sweet kiss on their wedding day. The quote “Come live in my heart and pay no rent” is by Samuel Lover. It spoke to me as the perfectly sweet sidekick to a perfectly sweet pair. The wedding was beautiful and I wish them eons of happiness!

SOLD

Pig & Cabbage

There’s a farm I drive past every now and again. It’s always loaded with fresh veggies and so beautiful to look at. Especially during cabbage season. Yes, cabbages are beautiful. One particular day I noticed that the pigs had gotten into the cabbages and were really enjoying themselves. Hence the birth of this piece.

SOLD

Chick in a Box

One of my favorites! This one was made for the 2009 AIGA Colorado Heart Art Auction. I wanted to incorporate happiness, love and passion for life. If the title isn’t familiar, it was inspired by the infamous SNL spoof with Justin Timberlake…you’ll have to look that one up.

SOLD

Turning One

A lot was happening for this family (the Project Bliss family.) Their little boy was turning one and they were moving to Washington DC. I wanted to capture it all.

SOLD

It’s Twins!

A friend was having twin girls. WOO!

SOLD

Falling Into Flowers

I saw this in a dream one night. A girl was free falling into a ton of single flowers, hair flying up into her face. Another of my favorites. I even used it for a chalk art festival in Denver – LaPiazza del Arte.

SOLD

Emily

I have always enjoyed working with letters and people’s names. This was for a new baby room.
