Jet Pack Pixel

Pixel, one of my cats, loves to zoom around the house like he’s on fire. He’s got these featherweight air bones which makes him glide. It really is like he has jet packs on his back propelling him from place to place. One day out of the blue I called him Jet Pack Pixel and had to draw it.

Kitty and a fiddle

The latest donation to Operation Shower. This baby shower theme is called “Over the Moon”, coming from the poem Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon… I thought I’d offer up my vision of the kitty and the fiddle, in his pantaloons of glory. This should look cute in some nursery somewhere!

Little Tree Acoustic

A Colorado house concert series was the inspiration for this one. The shows are magnificent evenings filled with amazing, swirling music . All entrance fees go directly to the artist. Read about the evolution of this piece.

Starlite, Starbright

I was watching some shooting stars one evening and was fascinated at the long flowy tails on them. I thought it’d be neat if stars could do cartwheels. And so now they do.

South and West

A friend and I took a one week trip. Started in Louisiana, drove to Houston, then to Big Bend National Park in South Texas, all around the park, across the river into Mexico where my friend bartered for neat, handmade trinkets and drank coke from a bottle. We then decided to drive to Roswell, New Mexico, just because we wanted to see aliens. After that, we stopped at Carlsbad caverns for some caving then hit the road and drove back to Louisiana. Non.Stop. I changed my oil before I left and one week later I changed the oil again, over 3000 miles driven. In.One.Week. Woo! (I wish I had a good scan of the original. I didn’t own a scanner back then so I apologize for the xerox copy)

On Top of the World

This is how I feel most days. Neked on top of the world. (Not neked really but you get the point) Life is good!

Lucy

This was to welcome a new baby girl. She’s definitely a shining star!

Feb 1, 2003

I’ll never forget when the space shuttle was lost over the Texas skies, 7 crew members on board.

Daniel

This is for Daniel, my nephew. You are loved and missed lightnin’ man.
