Project Bliss
I love the family that ordered this piece. Not only because they could open a gallery with all the Kirby Inks they have, but because of the passion that they live their life with. This piece captures the fun time that they took off from their careers to spend with their son. How cool is that?!

Peacock
I love birds. I had seen a peacock at a wedding reception in Texas and had to get one out on paper.

Our First Year
This couple were newlyweds. They had been married a year and had just bought their home. She was from India, he was German-Italian, hence all the flags. The flowers are native to those areas as well. You should see the gorgeous son that they have!

On Top of the World
This is how I feel most days. Neked on top of the world. (Not neked really but you get the point) Life is good!

St. Louis Cathedral
A New Orleans, Jackson Square icon. I can almost taste the beignets close by.

New Orleans House
I enjoyed living in New Orleans after I graduated from college. I especially, like most people, love the architecture there. Here’s an early work that puts a Kirby spin on it.

Mexico Honeymoon
This was our honeymoon to The Explorean, an amazing resort down around the Mexico/Belize border, in Kohunlich, Mexico. It was an adventure resort so there was tons to do. (There was plenty of time for relaxing as well.) If you’re looking for one srsly awesome trip, I highly recommend it!

Men’s Shirts Short Skirts
This was a friendship trip weekend – all girls – in Port Aransas, TX. It was so much fun! We all had to bring one of our men’s shirts (and we danced crazily to the theme song of the weekend by Shania Twain.) We danced and laughed so much that weekend, what a great memory!

Maui Wedding
I love this one. Even though I wasn’t in attendance, the pictures from this couple’s wedding were so beautiful and romantic that I can just imagine the love that was in the air.

South and West
A friend and I took a one week trip. Started in Louisiana, drove to Houston, then to Big Bend National Park in South Texas, all around the park, across the river into Mexico where my friend bartered for neat, handmade trinkets and drank coke from a bottle. We then decided to drive to Roswell, New Mexico, just because we wanted to see aliens. After that, we stopped at Carlsbad caverns for some caving then hit the road and drove back to Louisiana. Non.Stop. I changed my oil before I left and one week later I changed the oil again, over 3000 miles driven. In.One.Week. Woo! (I wish I had a good scan of the original. I didn’t own a scanner back then so I apologize for the xerox copy)
